Visitors to Canada Travel Insurance

Are you thinking of visiting Canada? Or are you a Canadian resident with family or friends that are coming into the country? Our Visitors to Canada travel insurance will provide crucial emergency medical coverage to those travellers who do not have a Canadian government health care plan.

Under this flexible plan, travellers can choose to have $50,000, $100,000, or $150,000 in emergency medical coverage. It is available to travellers who are 14 days old to 84 years old and can be purchased before or after arrival to Canada.

Benefit Summary:

Emergency Medical Expenses

Imagine you unexpectedly injure yourself or become ill while on your trip. This benefit has you covered against the resulting hospital charges and emergency medical expenses that arise.

Emergency Dental

If you experience an unexpected injury to your mouth and/or head while on your trip and need emergency dental treatment, this benefit covers reasonable and customary expenses up to a maximum of $1,500.

Emergency Return Home

Covers you for expenses related to returning you to your home country.

Emergency Paramedical Services

If you experience an unexpected medical emergency on your trip, this benefit helps with the expenses of a chiropractor, chiropodist, physiotherapist, osteopath or podiatrist.

Visit to Bedside

If an emergency sickness or illness causes you to be hospitalized during your trip, your doctor might recommend that a relative or close friend come visit you at your bedside. This benefit helps cover the expenses to bring that person to your bedside and their meals and accommodations during their trip.

Accommodation & Meals

This benefit helps cover you in case your trip is altered by an unexpected event so much that you need to arrange new, temporary accommodations, and/or pay unexpected expenses for food and taxi-fares.

Repatriation of Remains

If you were to pass away on your trip, this benefit would help cover the costs to transport your remains back to your home country or for the cremation or burial of your remains at the place where death occurred.

Identification of Remains

If you were to pass away on your trip and someone was legally required to identify your remains, this benefit would cover their transportation costs and provide reimbursement for their meals and accommodations, up to the amount specified in the policy.
